WEC Inks Fabiano

The last fighter from the now-defunct IFL has finally been signed by a promotion as according to Tatame.com, Waggney Fabiano has signed with WEC; while with the IFL, Fabiano was undefeated, winning six straight bouts.  In an interview with Tatame.com, Fabiano stated that he was already focusing in on current featherweight champion Urijah Faber with Fabiano adding,

“My objective is to grow in the event [and] get the title.  My goal is to fight for the belt and do my best.  (WEC Champion Urijah) Faber is the best of the world now.  To beat him, I think you have to be in good shape.  He’s an expert fighter and he has good gas.  It’s complicated to beat a guy like him.  You have to set a good game plan and be calm and watch the elbows, because if you hits you it can change a whole fight.”
