UFC Signs Condit, Henderson To Extensions

As the old saying goes, “To the victors go the spoils.”

That certainly applies to a pair of former WEC champions as the UFC has re-signed Carlos Condit and Ben Henderson to multi-fight extensions. The signings make perfect sense for both the promotion and the aforementioned fighters.

Condit, an up-and-coming welterweight, has won four straight bouts after dropping a decision to Martin Kampmann back in 2009. His overall record is 27-5. Condit’s next appointment in the Octagon is with B.J. Penn at UFC 137: St. Pierre vs. Diaz, with the winner probably getting first crack at the St. Pierre-Diaz fight victor.

Meanwhile, Henderson picked up a pair of back-to-back wins, including a big win over Jim Miller in August. Currently, he is 14-2 – with his most recent loss coming at the hands of Anthony Pettis in a WEC title bout.
