The UFC 115 contest that we had here at Octagon Buzz was wildly successful as the 225 submissions attest to. The winner of the contest is Rob from Miami, OK; our heartfelt congratulations to him.
The UFC 115 question was as follows:
Chuck Liddell has fought in 28 professional MMA fights during his career. Where was his first professional MMA bout at, his opponent and the winner of the bout?
The correct answer was: Event – UFC 17: Redemption in Mobile, AL; Opponent – Noe Hernandez, Winner of Bout – Liddell by Unanimous decision.
Rob will receive a pair of tickets to the UFC 115 event at a theatre near him.
Octagon Buzz will have more contests in the future, so stay tuned!

Yes folks, that was not a typo – Octagon Buzz is having a contest!!! Specifically, a TapouT contest. How does it work, you ask? Pretty simple really – Octagon Buzz will submit a TapouT question for all of you. The first correct submission to the question wins a limited edition, Versus/TapouT t-shirt; there’s only one available, so getting your submission in early is key. Here’s the rules:
- The TapouT contest starts as of Saturday, October 4 and will run until Friday, October 10.
- Submissions will be accepted until 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) on Friday, October 10.
- To submit your answer, click the CONTACT US link in the upper right of the Octagon Buzz homepage.
- Under the Subject header, type: TapouT Contest.
- Only one guess per contestant, please; multiple submissions by a contestant will disqualify him/her from consideration.
- The first correct submission will win the t-shirt.
- The winner of the contest agrees to allow their name and city of origin to be posted here at Octagon Buzz, so when submitting your answer, kindly provide your name, address, city, state and zip code. This is in order to notify the winner.
- All rulings for this contest are final.
Now that the rules of the contest are out of the way, here is the contest question: On the most recent episode of TapouT (October 3), who is the prospective fighter that the TapouT crew target, the name of his trainer and what city does the TapouT crew visit? Yes, it is a 3-part question.
Remember, the contest ends on Friday, October 10 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time), so get your submission in ASAP!!! A limited edition Versus/TapouT t-shirt is at stake, so get it in…good luck!!!
