Successful Surgery For Johnson

It is always good news to hear when a MMA fighter has successful surgery; this would be the case for Anthony Johnson as according to MMAWeekly.com, Johnson had successful surgery to repair damage done to his eye during UFC Fight Night 14 by Kevin Burns last Saturday.  According to Johnson,

“I had surgery.  It was pretty intense for me.”

“My retina was damaged, possibly detached, and the laceration was pretty long.  It was basically from one end of my eye to the other.  They did laser surgery that took about two hours, put some stitches on it basically.”

Johnson also stated that his doctor told him that he should be able to return in September.  So here’s of the hope that Johnson’s recovery is a speedy one as he will be missed in the octagon.
