Slice vs. Gannon? Shaw Says No

The rumor that had been floating around – which I reported on – was one in which a proposed bout between Kimbo Slice and Sean Gannon could possibly happen.  Apparently that will not be the case as EliteXC Vice President Jared Shaw, in speaking with FiveOuncesOfPain.com, has stated that the rumored bout between slice and Gannon will not take place at all.  One can assume that due to the ridiculous financial demands made by Gannon, the bout possibilities evaporated.

With Gannon now out of the picture, it brings it down to two MMA fighters – MMA icon Ken Shamrock and Slice’s arch-enemy, Brett Rogers.  As I said in my last article – and I still stand by it – Shamrock’s best days as a MMA fighter have passed him by.  So who does that leave?  That’s right – Rogers.  Rogers has a history with Slice and to be honest, the fight that would make the most sense – both logically and financially.  Keep it here at Octagon Buzz for more developments in this situation and also for your most up-to-date MMA news.
