Silva May Lose License Because Of Japan Bout

As most of us know already, Antonio Silva defied the California State Athletic Commission and went overseas and fought in Japan, despite the ban issued by the Commission, due to a positive steroid test. Because of this violation, Silva is in danger of having his MMA license revoked, according to Dave Meltzer of Yahoo! Sports.
Bill Douglas, interim head of the CSAC, said that he will notify all of the US-based athletic commissions of Silva and his manager’s actions and set a February 10 hearing date. A license revocation means that Silva and his cornermen would be banned from fighting in all US commission stated until California grants him a new license, which would be no less than 1 year from the date of revocation.
