The UFC’s debut in the Land Down Under, scheduled for February 2010, will have a bout that pits the United Kingdom vs. Brazil.
According to a report by FightersOnly.com, it looks like Wanderlei Silva will take on Michael Bisping; apparently, both fighters have verbally agreed to the fight, although no written agreements have been inked as of this post. Bisping and Silva were to have met at UFC 105; however, due to surgery that Silva had to remove scar tissue from around his eyes, that bout was postponed.
Bisping is coming off a TKO win over Denis Kang at UFC 105 and is currently 4-1 since moving down to the 185-lb division, with his only loss at the hands of Dan Henderson. Meanwhile, Silva’s last UFC bout was a loss to Rich Franklin; this will be his debut in the middleweight division. He has been inactive since UFC 99 due to the aforementioned surgery.
