Frank Shamrock is itching for a fight – in the cage. And according to the middleweight, he may get one sometime during the month of March.
Shamrock, on a recent edition of The MMA Hour, he stated that Strikeforce had asked him to fight on a yet-to-be-determined card “in the first week or so in March.” Also, he mentioned that an opponent hasn’t been announced as of yet. Since Shamrock isn’t going to win a Strikeforce middleweight title any time soon, he should fight someone who fits his strengths. Someone like Scott Smith. Both of their styles are “ground-and-pound”, so why not? If anything, the fight would be entertaining. And should Smith defeat him (very likely), he always has the broadcasting gig to fall back on.
