One fight removed from a fight at another MMA organization, lightweight Bart Palaszewski will return to the WEC to face Anthony Pettis at WEC 45: Cerrone vs. Ratcliff, which is scheduled to take place on December 19 from The Pearl at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV.

Palaszewski looks to get his first WEC win sicne a December 2008 TKO victory over Alex Karalexis; he has since dropped consecutive bouts to WEC fighters Anthony Njokuani and Ricardo Lamas. His most recent win came over Tyler Combs in an XFO event  earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Pettis looks to build on his budding WEC career as he earned a victory in his WEC debut at WEC 41; he had been scheduled to fight Rob McCullough at WEC 44 in November, but an injury sidelined him. With this imminent signing, WEC 45: Cerrone vs. Ratcliff looks like this:
