Remember when Chuck Liddell lost to Mauricio Rua at UFC 97 and UFC president Dana White basically said that Liddell is retired? Well perhaps in an attempt to give his friend a last hurrah, White seems to like the idea of pitting Liddell against Tito Ortiz, adding:

“[Liddell and I] made some other deals, personal deals, between me and him for this season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’ We’ll let [Liddell and Ortiz] go at it again.”

If you think about it, while a fight between Ortiz and Liddell is a blast from the past, Liddell really doesn’t have anything to prove at this stage of his career. Not to mention that he risks he chance of embarrassing himself.
