Because of injury, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will not participate in UFC 109 in February 2010.

According to sources, Nogueira, brother of UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, suffered a fractured ankle, although that hasn’t been confirmed as of yet by Nogueira’s manager, Ed Soares. The UFC is actively seeking an opponent for Brandon Vera, Nogueira’s opponent.

Vera’s most recent action was in the form of an unanimous decision loss to Randy Couture at UFC 105 in November. When more information becomes available in temrs of who Vera’s opponent will be, Octagon Buzz will bring it to you.
