Nine UFC Fighters Given Medical Suspensions

The Ultimate Fighter 7: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest

Nearly half of the 20 fighters who participated in Friday’s The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest event received medical suspensions from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, according to MMAjunkie.com; below is the entire list of suspensions:

  • Evan Tanner: suspended until August 6 with no contact until July 22 (laceration near left eye).
  • Diego Sanchez: suspended until July 22 with no contact until July 13 (precautionary reasons).
  • Luigi Fioravanti: suspended and no contact until December 19 (right knee injury); minimum suspension until July 22 with no contact until July 13 (precautionary reasons).
  • Spencer Fisher: suspended until July 22 with no contact until July 13 (precautionary reasons).
  • Matthew Riddle: suspended until December 19 (fifth-finger injury; can be cleared by an orthopedic doctor); minimum suspension until July 22 with no contact until July 13 (precautionary reasons).
  • Josh Burkman: suspended until August 21 with no contact until July 22 (precautionary reasons).
  • Marvin Eastman: suspended until August 21 with no contact until August 6 (precautionary reasons).
  • Matt Brown: suspended until July 22 with no contact until July 13 (precautionary reasons).
  • Matt Arroyo: suspended until August 6 with no contact until July 22 (precautionary reasons).
