Neer to Face Danzig At UFN 17 Despite Legal Issues

UFC Fight Night 17

Although he was recently arrested for hit-and-run and led police on a high-speed chase, Josh Neer will take his place in the Octagon as he will take on Mac Danzig at UFC Fight Night 17; Neer’s manager, Mickey Dubberly stated the following:

“Josh will be fighting Mac Danzig Feb. 7 in the co-main event in Tampa as scheduled. Josh has been training very hard for this fight and is looking forward to putting on a great fight for the UFC and fans. Josh would like to once again thank his family, fans, friends, training partners, UFC and everyone that has supported him through his career.”

As was reported here yesterday at Octagon Buzz, Neer was recently arrested after allegedly striking a couple of vehicles then leading police on a high-speed chase that lasted anout 15 minutes before finally being apprehended.  Both Neer and Danzig are coming off losses at UFC Fight Night 15, with Neer losing to Nate Diaz while Danzig dropped a decision to Clay Guida.
