Marquardt vs. Kampmann Fills Out UFC 88 Card

It looks like the final bout has been added to the UFC 88 event, which takes place in September in Atlanta, GA; according to Dann Stupp of MMAjunkie.com, a source close to the event has revealed that Nate Marquardt and Martin Kampmann have agreed to lock up in the octagon during the event.  The official announcement of UFC 88: Breakthrough is expected within the next week or so.

Marquardt is coming off a controversial loss to Thales Leites at UFC 85; in that bout, he was deducted 2 points and as a result, lost the bout by split decision.  Kampmann is going for his 5th consecutive UFC victory; his last win came over Jorge Rivera.  Below is the tentative card for UFC 88*:

  • Rashad Evans vs. Chuck Liddell
  • Rich Franklin vs. Matt Hamill
  • Martin Kampmann vs. Nate Marquardt
  • Karo Parisyan vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida

  • Kurt Pellegrino vs. Thiago Tavares

    1. Ive never seen Marquardt fight but ive heard alot about him so im really excited to see him. Is he fighting any time soon??
