Liddell Weighing Options After Loss To Evans

At the post-fight news conference at UFC 88: Breakthrough Saturday night following his loss to Rashad Evans, Chuck Liddell made an appearance; although appearing beaten and broken down, Liddell didn’t offer any signs that he had any plans to retire from MMA any time soon, with Liddell adding,

“I’ll take a little time after this fight but I’ve always said that I would decide when to retire in the training room not after a fight.”

But with the loss to Evans, it looks like the road to the title bout has gotten a little bit longer; it can even be speculated that Liddell may have overlooked Evans (much like he did in his loss to Quinton Jackson) in his quest for the title fight against current light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin.
