Levens Tested Positive For Drugs

Two fighters in 2 days being tested positive for oxymorphone; yesterday it was James Irvin and today it is Justin Levens.  According to MMAjunkie.com, Levens tested positive for oxymorphone in a drug test that was administered after the Affliction: Banned event on July 19; California State Athletic Commission Assistant Excutive Officer Bill Douglas confirmed the findings in an email to MMAjunkie.com.

According to Douglas, Levens registered a test level that was finalized at a whopping 10,141 ng/mL; the CSAC’s cutoff level for oxymorphone is currently 120 ng/mL.  His alleged use of the semi-synthetic opioid analgesic that is used for chronic pain has netted Levens a $1,000 fine and a 6-month suspension that would run until January 15, 2009, with the option to appeal.
