Due to an injury to Diego Sanchez (depending on who you believe, it is either a spleen or rib injury), he will not be able to participate in his scheduled bout with Thiago Alves, according to Sherdog; however, a replacement has been found for Sanchez as Josh Koscheck has agreed to take on Alves. 

The winner of this bout would no doubt have a clearer path to getting a title shot against Georges St. Pierre in the future; Alves’ most recent bout was a victory over Matt Hughes while Koscheck is coming off a win over Chris Lytle at UFC 86.
