Kang Removed From DREAM 5 Card

Denis Kang

The DREAM promotion will be without one of its fighters for their DREAM 5 event, set to take place on July 21 in Osaka, Japan; according to Tom Hamlin of MMAWeekly.com, Denis Kang, for reasons unknown, has been removed from the DREAM 5 event roster.  Prior to being dropped from DREAM 5, Kang did not have an opponent lined up for the event and he was informed about the drop last week.  Kang’s focus now lies with Spirit MC, where he will defend his middleweight title on August 31 against Jae Young Kim; after that fight, Kang will be hopeful of an appearance in Canada’s Raw Combat promotion against an unspecified opponent.  Regarding his future with FEG (Fight Entertainment Group, promoters of DREAM), Kang said, “I want to stay with them, I have no problem with them.  I don’t know that any organization can be perfect. I understand that’s just the way business goes.  You have to remember, FEG is running K-1 and K-1 Max, K-1 Heavyweight and Dream at the same time.  So I know they’re busy.  It’s just very frustrating.”
