Johnson Appeal Denied

As expected, the appeal that was filed by Anthony Johnson regarding his TKO loss in July was rejected by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, according to MMAFrenzy.com and as confirmed by NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer; the reasoning, according to Kizer, was…

“Based on advice from the Nevada Attorney General’s office, the appeal was rejected due to lack of remedy.”

The controversy began when Kevin Burns (Johnson’s opponent) poked Johnson in the eye, which led to Johnson being unable to see and continue the fight – which was stopped seconds later; Johnson was not available for comment as of this writing.
