Jensen Replaces Horn At UFC Fight Night 15

Due to a problematic wrist injury, Jeremy Horn will not be able to take part in UFC Fight Night 15 later this month, according to; Horn confirmed the injury and sources close to him have stated that Ryan Jensen will replace Horn on the card.  Jensen, in Horn’s place, will face off against Wilson Gouveia at the event, which will take place on September 17 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, NE.

Horn added regarding the wrist injury,

“I have been having a problem with my wrist for about the last month. I went to a doctor and had him look at it the other day, and he says I’ve got some tendons and ligaments and stuff torn in there. I thought I may have had a broken bone in there, but it was ligaments and tendons and stuff. I have no grip strength, I can’t make a fist, and I can’t punch anything. I’m pretty useless.”

Jensen will return to the octagon to get his first win in the UFC; he had been with the UFC previously but was dropped after consecutive losses to Thales Leites and Demian Maia.  Since that time, Jensen had lost to Joey Villasenor at a Strikeforce/EliteXC event, but rebounded with 2 consecutive victories.  Gouveia had recorded 4 straight wins in the UFC before losing to Goran Reljic at UFC 84 back in May.  Due to this recent development, the UFC Fight Night 15 card has changed slightly; below is the tentative card for the event:

Main Card:

Nate Diaz vs. Josh Neer
Mac Danzig vs. Clay Guida
Houston Alexander vs. Eric Schafer
Alan Belcher
vs. Ed Herman
Kyle Bradley vs. Joe Lauzon

Preliminary Card:
