Jackson Claims He Was Delirious During Chase

Some folks – even with advice coming from their legal counsel – never seem to keep their mouths shut.  such is the case with Quinton Jackson; in an interview with the Orange County Register’s Larry Welborn on Thursday to discuss his case.  Some memorable quotes form Jackson during the interview:

“I thought I heard the voice of God telling me to go save Brian.  I felt if I didn’t get to Brian, he would die.”

And this one:

“What was I thinking?  l know now that Brian was never in danger. … But I really thought at the time that he was about to die.”

I don’t know about you, but I get the feeling here that Jackson should have entered a guilty plea, took his punishment (what little bit of punishment he would’ve received) like a man and continue his MMA career.  But no, he had to tell the world what was on his mind at the time of the incident.  Despite the fact that Jackson is a “born-again Christian”, some of his statements smack of mental illness to me – but I digress.  I’ll let you be the judge of that; for the rest of this interesting interview, click here.
