It appears that the long awaited fight – the battle of the Matts, if you will – is going to take place as according to Matt Hughes‘ blog at www.matt-hughes.com, it is highly likely that he will get it on in the Octagon with Matt Serra May 23 in Las Vegas at UFC 98; here’s what Hughes had to say:

“Just got a call from Joe Silva and as of right now it looks like I’ll be fighting Matt Serra in Vegas on May 23rd. This is not 100% confirmed, but I believe it is going to be on this date.”
