Huerta Signing to Be Announced At Bellator Press Conference
A rather substantial signing is expected to be announced today at a press conference conducted by Bellator Fighting Championship Monday at 3:00 PM (ET) at: www.bellator.com.
The signing of record will be that of former UFC lightweight Roger Huerta for Bellator’s season two lightweight tournament, one in which he would by default become a favorite in the eight-man field, which kicks off the opening round of the tournament next month.
Huerta left the UFC despite sporting a 6-2 record while in the organization; he had previously criticized UFC’s pay model and intimated that he wasn’t earning what he is worth.
Should Huerta advance in the Bellator lightweight tourney (and all signs indicate that he will), he would likely face the current lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.
