It certainly didn’t take long to find a replacement for Wagnney Fabiano for a bout at WEC 46.

Just one day after Frank Gomez pulled out of his bout with Fabiano, the WEC managed to find an replacement opponent: WEC newcomer Clint Godfrey. WEC officials confirmed that Godfrey signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion and will indeed face Fabiano at WEC 46, which will take place on January 10, 2010 from Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA.

Godfrey, a three-year MMA veteran, enters thre bout with an eight-fight win streak; he has fought for a variety of regional MMA promotions throughout the country. Meanwhile, Fabiano is trying to rebound from an upset loss to Mackens Semerzier at WEC 43 in October.

With the last-minute change, WEC 46 looks like this:
