Another welterweight from the WEC has been signed by the UFC as Danillo Villefort has signed a 6-fight deal with the organization; no date has been set for his debut.
Villefort (9-2) is currently on a 5-fight win streak, with his most recent victory coming over Mike Campbell at WEC 38; according to Villefort,
“I’m pretty happy and I’ve just signed a six fight deal. My dad is here (in Florida) and I just told him and he’s so happy. I just want to fight now and represent my team and my family.”
“(Competing in the UFC) is not just a dream, it’s the dream. My first exposure to the UFC was when Vitor Belfort fought (in the organization) a long time ago. Since that time I’ve had the DREAM and now that dream is coming true.”
