Former TUF 8 Contestant Signs With EliteXC

It certainly did not take long for a The Ultimate Fighter contestant to land on his feet with another promotion; according to FiveOuncesOfPain.com, Jason Guida – brother of UFC fighter Clay Guida – has signed with EliteXC, which has been confirmed by EliteXC vice president Jared Shaw.

Guida will make his debut during the promotion’s ShoXC event on October 10 at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN; although it has not been confirmed as of this writing, it is expected that Guida will face Polish middleweight/light heavyweight Mamed Khalidov.  Guida’s (17-17, acording to Sherdog) last bout was at the inaugural Adrenaline MMA event, a submission loss to Michael Russow last June.  Meanwhile, Khalidov (9-3) has fought mainly in Poland and Lithuania and assuming he signs a fight contract with EliteXC, this would be his first fight in the USA.
