It looks like Marcus Davis will have a jobber opponent to tangle with at UFC 111 as it appears that Davis will lock up with Phil Baroni; the event is scheduled to take place on March 27, 2010 from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Please bear in mind that no agreements have been signed, atlhough both sides have verbally agreed to the bout.

Davis coming of his first ever KO loss at the hands of Ben Saunders at UFC 106 and a loss to Dan Hardy, respectively; prior to those two consecutive losses, he had won 2 consecutive bouts against Paul Kelly and Chris Lytle.

Meanwhile, Baroni is also coming off a defeat at UFC 106, losing a lopsided decision to Amir Sadollah. He will be making his Octagon return after stints in organizations such as Strikeforce, EliteXC and PRIDE.
