Another lightweight may soon be joining the ranks of the UFC as sources close to the promotion have indicated that Brazilian Charles Oliveira has been offered an exclusive agreement and expected to debut in the near future.

Although a contract is yet to be signed, the process appears to be a mere formality.

Oliveira, who has fought mainly in his native Brazil, debuted in March 2008 under the Predador Fight Championship banner and earned three victories that night to take the tournament title; since then, he has earned two more tournament titles – a four-man Korea Fight title in December 2008 and a four-man Warriors Challenge bracket this past February.

Of Oliveira’s 12 wins, 11 have come via stoppage.
