A rare rematch will take place at UFC 111, which is scheduled to take place on March 27 from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

The rematch in question is one between welterweights Thiago Alves and Jon Fitch, according to Alves’ management team, First Round Management and should settle who is the #2 welterwight in the world, unless Dan Hardy upsets Georges St. Pierre in the main event.

In their first meeting, Fitch stopped Alves via TKO at a UFC Fight Night event back in June 2006; Alves would rebound by winning seven consecutive bouts.
