Japanese middleweight Yoshihiro Akiyama has announced that he will be a participant in either UFC 110 or UFC 111 against Wanderlei Silva; UFC 110 is scheduled for February 6 in Las Vegas while UFC 111 is rumored to be taking place sometime in late February with Sydney, Australia being the rumored locale. Akiyama divulged the information during a news conference for the UFC’s “Undisputed” video game release.

Akiyama, a former star with the DREAM and K-1 Heros promotions, signed with the UFC in February. He earned a split decision victory over Alan Belcher last July at UFC 100 in Las Vegas, NV.
